Around the Globe, and in our own country of Canada, the issue of climate change is being discussed nationwide – from rural farming fields, to the institutions that run countries. According to Time Magazine, these six countries face the most threat: Nigeria, Yemen, Haiti, Manila, Kiribati, and United Arab Emirates. Tragically, many if not all of these countries have already faced countless environmental disasters that they are still recovering from. The issue of climate change allows for humanity as a whole to begin to think critically about every aspect of their everyday lives, from transportation to agriculture, infrastructure and consumption, governance and the structures of our current systems. What is clear now, is that we simply cannot tackle this catastrophic issue from one lens of perception, but rather, we must begin to think holistically and to transition to more sustainable solutions in all facets of our daily living.

Organizations around the Globe are collectively coming together to tackle this issue, and fortunately, some are located in our very backyard.
