Terawatt Solar, a fast and ever growing EPC company is paving the way for a brighter, greener future in Ontario. Our company has an ambition to provide business turnkey, quality solar services with an emphasis on affordability and time management.
At Terawatt Solar, we’re particularly excited about the “microFIT” and "Small FIT" opportunities. These are contracts where the solar system is rated to produce 10,000 watts or less (microFIT) or 500,000 watts or less (Small FIT) to give you great returns on investment.
Our engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) team provides innovative, and reliable solar energy solutions to customers around the Ontario province. Offering “turnkey” working systems due to the set structures Terawatt Solar has in place, we are able to provide a complete spectrum of services for projects from viability studies to commissioning.
Single point of contact
As an inclusive EPC provider, Terawatt Solar is able to retain their position as a single point of contact for all solar energy needs. Our in-house team of experts strives to produce top-notch and innovative solar designs by selecting components based on highest standards in reliability, extensibility and low failure rates. Our comprehensive experience ensures cost effective engineering solutions for even the most complex projects. Terawatt Solar has the ability to deliver projects on-budget and on-time due to their experience providing EPC services. This absolute efficiency and organization guarantees accelerated investment recovery in the long run.
Up to 15% ROI
The 2016 rates are out and unlike last year’s cut this is a serious one. The rate cut this year is 23.5%, from 38.4 to 29.4 cents per kWh. Even with such a low rate, having the right tilt and orientation of your house roof, no shading, you can still get up to 15% ROI. It means the system will be paid off in about 6.7 years and making profit for the following 13.3 years.
The microFIT Program was launched in 2009 as part of the Ontario government’s efforts to increase renewable energy in the province. The program provides homeowners and other eligible participants with the opportunity to develop a small or “micro” renewable electricity generation project (10 kilowatts (kW) or less in size) on their property.
Under this program, you will be paid a guaranteed price over a 20-year term (40 years for waterpower projects) for all the electricity you produce and deliver to the province’s electricity grid.
